Unless otherwise provided by law, the violation of or failure to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter is a misdemeanor, and shall subject the offender upon conviction thereof to a fine not to exceed $300.00, or imprisonment not to exceed 90 days, or both fine and imprisonment.
