If a vehicle is impounded pursuant to LMC 11.02.051, an administrative fee shall be levied when the vehicle is redeemed. The administrative fee shall be collected by the towing company performing the impound, and shall be remitted to the finance director in the manner directed by the finance director. The administrative fee shall be for the purpose of offsetting, to the extent practical, the cost to the city, of implementing, enforcing and administering the provisions of this chapter and shall be the amount of $50.00.
