A. Regular part-time employees receive the following:

1. Medical benefits to include medical, dental, and vision coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents on the same terms and conditions as nonrepresented full-time employees;

2. Prorated leave benefits;

3. Employee assistance program;

4. PERS.

B. Regular part-time employees do not receive life insurance or long-term disability insurance, which are currently provided to full-time employees.

C. Regular part-time employees may waive their coverage if they so choose.

D. Vacation, sick leave, and holiday benefits are provided on a pro-rata basis. Hours are figured strictly as a percentage of full-time employment. For example, 20-hour employees would receive one-half day (or four hours) of vacation as opposed to a full day (or eight hours) of vacation for a full-time employee. Leave accrual will be based on the same years of service as defined for full-time employees. Actual leave accrual will begin on the effective date of this policy and will not be retroactive prior to that time. The following table illustrates how leave will be calculated:
