Regular full-time and regular part-time employees using 26 or less hours of sick leave during the first half or second half of a calendar year may opt to receive eight hours’ pay on the second pay period in July and January, respectively, and have eight hours of sick leave accruals deducted from their earned sick leave. The provisions of this section shall not apply to part-time/temporary/seasonal employees and to those employees who are covered by negotiated union agreements.
