The city of Lynnwood, through its city attorney’s office, shall provide the legal defense and the paying of valid judgments and claims of employees and officials of the city of Lynnwood arising from their actions or conduct during the course of their official duties; provided, however, this section shall not apply to those occurrences covered by a policy of liability insurance provided by the city.
